
HEAD COACH
GUIM VALLS
Guim, went on a world tour in a solar powered electric bicycle for 3.5 years. He halted in Vietnam with countless experiences and with well-known network of allies of all rounding support like media, mentoring etc. While being in Vietnam, he has dedicated his time for coaching the young individuals and international schools. While staying busy in his passion, he became the co-founder of MUDE Sports, a leading novelty brand, endorsed amongst outstanding trail runners, like Hau Ha who has been also coached by Guim himself.
METHODOLOGY
As the Head coach, Guim will overlook the athlete’s progress, manage, make adjustments and mentor to best fit the results he/she could reach to.
TRAIL RUNNING
LAIA DIEZ
Specialized in the field of trail running, Laia has been a personal trainer for more than 15 years in the Altius personal training gym in Manresa and for more than 8 years she’s training runners from all over the world. Currently she’s the personal trainer of elite ultra trail runners such as Pau Capell, Ionel Cristian Manole, Joaquín López, Isaac Riera, Hau Ha and Joaquín López. Laia possess a degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at the University of Barcelona. Postgraduate in Physical Preparation of Collective Sport at FC Barcelona. Chiropractor.
As a Trail Runner, these are some of her best achievements:
- 6th in the Transgrancanària (125 km)
- 1st on the South Coast Camí de Cavalls de Menorca (55 km) 15th at CCC Montblanc (101 km)
- 7th in the Marathon des Sables
- 7th in the Ultra Pyrenees (110 km)
- 1st at the Compressport Trail Menorca Camí de Cavalls
- 1st in the UT Vall d’Aran
METHODOLOGY
Laia will monitor the weekly workouts and guidelines for the athlete via Training Peaks (TP). This channel will be the main one used to communicate and give feedback.


CYCLING
JAVIER SARDA
Born in Zamora, West of Spain, Javier was drawn to cycling as it was a family tradition starting from grandfather to uncle and then his own brother. He started competing professionally at the age of 6. In 2016 he started his adventure in Asia, and one year later he landed in Vietnam where he has won the most important professional cycling events: 2 times the HTV Cup, 2 times the VOH Tour and 1 time the BTV Cup among many other podiums. Javier is without any doubt the most successful cyclist in Vietnam in the recent years.
METHODOLOGY
Weekly workouts and guidelines for the athlete. Study the growth rate and improve workouts that are effective for the progress via training peaks (TP).
CORE & STRENGHT TRAINING
CHRIS LOFT
Chris in an English PT, based in Thailand. Originally from the UK, where he held qualifications in personal training, strength & conditioning and nutrition. Having worked with athletes for 9 years, he knows the one thing that can make a big difference in performance & longevity in their discipline is strength training. He focuses on strengthening all areas of the body to improve speed, power, endurance, and lower injury risk.
METHODOLOGY
All coaching will be delivered via an ‘athlete portal’ to which both athlete and coach will have access. The athlete will have access to all coaching videos to learn each movement.


NUTRITION
ELISA RUIZ
A former professional basketball player at team PRYCA MANRESA until 1992. She possesses:
- Diploma in Dietetics and Sports Nutrition (Rei Juan Carlos University): 2018
- Degree in Biology specializing in Organisms and Systems (University of Barcelona): 2002
- Executive MBA Master (Ramon Llull University): 2009 Erasmus scholarship held in PARMA (ITALY): 1999
METHODOLOGY
Elisa works with an app called Nutrium where she plans and provides weekly/monthly diets according to the athlete’s needs.
RUN & TRIATHLON
JOAN PEDRET
Joan is a triathlete and former rower who possesses several titles in his homeland, Spain. He discovered triathlon as an extended potential of his strengths as a runner.
Focused in the middle distance, Joan has already competed in 4 IRONMAN 70.3 WORLD CHAMPS, and now he’s heading towards his latest goal, the IM 70.3 World Champs of Taupo (NZ) in 2024 where he already secured his slot.
As a coach, he focus on extracting the maximum strength of runners and techniques to manage their energy effectively.
Some of his most remarkable results:
- 1st overall at DIT Dubai International triathlon Olympic distance
- 2nd AG at ITU WORLD TRIATHLON SERIES and 2 times 4th AG
- 2nd overall at DOHA triathlon ( 2 times ) and 1 time 4th overall
- 1st overall at Salinas – Bani olympic distance triathlon (Dominican Republic))
- 3rd AG IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo – Sri Lanka
- 1st overall (3 times ) at Katara aquathlon (Doha)
- 1st overall at Hatta aquathlon (United Arab Emirates)
- 1st AG at Al Hudayrat triathlon – Abu Dhabi (3 times)
- 1st AG at The Pearl triathlon – Doha (2 times)

Training programs will include detailed and tailored workouts to be delivered by traditional systems and vanguards training platforms


SWIMMING
MICHAEL CASSINIDES
Michael is an Australian swim coach based in Singapore. With over 15 years coaching swimming, Michael is experienced across all age groups from children to adults as well as for beginners to competitive swimmers. Michael focuses on building rapport with swimmers and understanding what goals they want to achieve to build tailored training programs. His philosophy is to firstly work on stroke correction and build a solid foundation before shifting to accelerating speed and performance.
As a triathlete and formerly an elite junior swimmer in Australia, Michael understands what it takes to see progression as well as enjoying the journey.
